STEP
1 We begin by "dusting" your rugs which removes years of every day
dirt and debris from deep within the fibers - debris which grinds, creating
excessive wear on your rug. Our deep cleaning process works to restore
life to the nap and natural luster to your rug.
STEP 2 Our specially formulated enzyme deodorizer works to neutralize
household cooking and pet odors from your rug. These often contribute
to many common allergies.
STEP 3 Today’s oriental rugs are in use throughout the house. To safeguard
your rugs against unforeseen accidents and damage, Scotch guarding is
a must and needs be applied professionally to achieve desired results.
Professional Scotch guarding is highly recommend for light colored
rugs and any in high traffic areas.**
STEP 4 We complete our four-step cleaning process with mothproofing.
Mothproofing is a must to guard against insect damage and protect
your rug investment while in storage or use. Our practical experience
has shown no matter how clean the home, no one is immune to the unexpected
ravages that moths can cause to unprotected fine wool rugs.**

Emergency Spot Cleaning
Solution for Pet Stains
If a pet gets sick on a rug, you are faced with neutralizing a mixture
of food, saliva, and stomach acid. These foods can actually work to dye
and stain the pile a different hue. Since most Oriental rug dyes are acid-fast,
the addition of white vinegar* to the cleaning solution reinforces the
bond between the dyes and the wool fibers in the rug, helping prevent
the colors from running.
2 cups medium-warm water
1/4 cup white vinegar*
1/2 tsp liquid dishwashing detergent
Use a spoon to scrape up all the solids.
Blot the area dry and immediately sponge with the cleaning solution shown
above - working from the outer edges of the stain towards the center to
avoid creating "rings". Finally, bring
the rug in to your nearest Kaoud Oriental Rug showroom
for professional cleaning.
Certain stains will permanently
alter the colors and condition of any rug, particularly if left unattended.
Results may vary but we will attempt to clean the affected area regardless.
Most stains will come out but we cannot guarantee every stain will be
removed.
